Mewn ymateb i'r canllawiau cenedlaethol diwygiedig gan y Cydbwyllgor ar Imiwneiddio (JCVI), mae Llywodraeth Cymru bellach wedi nodi'r canllawiau ar gyfer sut y gall Gofalwyr di-dâl yng Nghymru ddarganfod pryd y maent yn gymwys i gael y brechlyn Covid-19.
Oherwydd y nifer fawr o Ofalwyr di-dâl yng Nghymru, dywedwyd wrth bob bwrdd iechyd i ganolbwyntio eu rhaglenni brechu ar y Gofalwyr di-dâl a fydd yn amddiffyn pobl sydd â'r risg uchaf ac a fydd yn cael yr effaith fwyaf ar atal marwolaethau.
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi nodi system flaenoriaeth i helpu i nodi pa Ofalwyr y dylid eu blaenoriaethu ar gyfer y brechlyn. Mae'r canllaw yn cynnwys rhestr o amodau y mae'n rhaid i Ofalwr eu bodloni i gael eu cynnwys yng ngrŵp blaenoriaeth 6.

Os nad ydych yn gymwys i gael y brechlyn yng ngrŵp blaenoriaeth 6, nid yw hyn yn golygu nad ydych yn Ofalwr ac ni ddylech deimlo eich bod yn cael eich dibrisio neu nad yw'ch rôl yn cael ei chydnabod.
Nid yw bod yn gymwys i gael eich blaenoriaethu yn dibynnu ar dderbyn Lwfans Gofalwr, aelodaeth o sefydliad Gofalwyr neu fod yn hysbys i’r gwasanaethau cymdeithasol.
Nid yw brechu yn dileu'r angen i barchu pellter cymdeithasol, hylendid dwylo, awyru digonol ac unrhyw fesurau eraill i leihau'r potensial i drosglwyddo'r firws.
In response to the revised national guidance, from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), the Welsh Government have now set out the guidelines for how unpaid Carers in Wales can find out when they are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine.
Due to the large number of unpaid Carers in Wales, all health boards have been told to focus their vaccination programmes on the unpaid Carers who will protect people who are at the highest risk and will have the biggest impact on stopping deaths.
The Welsh Government have set out a priority system to help identify which Carers should be prioritised for the vaccine. The guidance includes a list of conditions that a Carer must satisfy to be included in priority group 6.

What does this mean for Carers in Ceredigion?
If you are registered as an unpaid Carer and meet the criteria set out in the Welsh Government guidance, you will be contacted by your GP to receive a vaccine.
Not registered as an Unpaid Carer?

Although the initial focus will be to vaccinate Carers who meet the conditions set out by the Welsh Government, it is hoped that all adults will be vaccinated over the next 4 months.
PLEASE NOTE
If you do not meet the eligibility to get the vaccine in priority group 6, it does not mean that you are not a Carer and you should not feel devalued or that your role is not recognised.
Eligibility for prioritisation is not dependent on being in receipt of Carer’s Allowance, membership of a Carers’ organisation or being known to social services.
Vaccination does not remove the requirement for social distancing, hand hygiene, good levels of ventilation and any other measures to reduce the potential for transmission of the virus.
