Our Message of Support

Covid 19 Supporting Carers

Dear Carer,

I hope you are keeping as well as possible during this time. We know that many Carers are very concerned about their loved ones regarding Coronavirus.

Credu are still supporting Young and Adult Carers with what is important to them, though in different ways. Find below links to the contact details for support in your area. We have the www.facebook.com/creducarers and your local outreach worker will have a webpage too.

You can contact us about anything that is important to you right now, whether that is:

  • Support or information / concerns you want to discuss

  • Wanting to give support and information to other Carers

  • Wanting to share ideas about how we can better support Carers and their families during this time. These can be very practical ideas that will help keep people safe and well, or fun ideas to help keep people going during isolation.

As well as supporting people in serious difficulty, Carers and outreach workers are coming up with all sorts of other ways of supporting each other during this time. Some of the Young Carers are sharing fun challenges on social media, other Adult Carers are considering setting up an on-line choir, or connecting with Carers in a similar situation via telephone or social media.

Communities and organisations are working so proactively at the moment; we are inspired with confidence that most people will get the support they need, though we are of course concerned.

Again, if you have any queries, concerns or want to chat through things, please don’t hesitate to call.

Warmest regards,

All at Credu

Public Health Wales Statement

“The public has a crucial role to play in containing the spread of the virus, and we are encouraging people to wash their hands more often, and for 20 seconds. Use soap and water or a hand sanitiser when you get home or into work, blow your nose, sneeze or cough, eat or handle food. This advice will help you to protect yourself and others.” We should also carry tissues to prevent the spread of the virus.
